Welcome to the National Virtual Valentine Card Exchange for Mensa Gifted Youth! This is a creative, low-pressure way for gifted kids from across the country to connect, share art, and exchange a little kindness - no postage required!

Below you’ll find the complete guide with all important details, timelines, and expectations.

Questions along the way? Technical, creative, or logistical - just reach out! I’m happy to help with scans, photos, submissions, or anything else that might come up!  ~Julie~

A Quick Note!

Each participating Gifted Youth member has been paired one-to-one with another Gifted Youth participant from a different Mensa group.

  • Pairings are mutual.

  • If Child A is assigned to Child B, then Child B is also assigned to Child A.

  • This is a true exchange - everyone gives and receives one Valentine.

What Information Has Everyone Received?

Each participant has received:

  • Their partner’s first name

  • Their partner’s Mensa Group

  • Their partner’s age

  • A few interests or fun facts

What Should the Valentine Look Like?

Anything goes!

Participants may use any materials or style they like! Some examples:

  • Digital art or graphic design programs

  • Drawing, painting, or mixed media

  • Collage or hand-lettering

  • Photography-based designs

Creativity is encouraged! There is no “right” way to do this!

Important! Submitting Non-Digital Artwork

If artwork is created by hand:

  • It must be scanned or photographed clearly using good lighting

  • Photos should be:

    • High resolution

    • In focus

    • Taken straight-on (not angled)

    • Free of shadows, glare, or background clutter

If the image isn’t clear enough to send digitally, it may not be usable!

Writing the Valentine Message

Each Valentine should include a short written message. How that message appears is completely up to you! Some ideas:

  • Incorporate the message directly into the artwork

  • Write the message separately and ask it to be sent along with the artwork

Ready to Send Your Valentine?

All Valentines are distributed digitally by the Palm Beach Area Mensa Gifted Youth Coordinator - no mailing required!

  • Send your valentine and message to Julie (Palm Beach Mensa's GYC) at warriner712@gmail.com by February 8, 2026.

  • You will receive a confirmation from Julie letting you know that she has received your valentine.  If she has any questions about your submission, she will let you know!

  • Julie will orchestrate the Virtual Valentine Exchange on February 14, 2026.

Each Valentine is part of a shared exchange, so meeting the deadline helps ensure no one is left without a Valentine on the big day!
