Calling all trailblazers, innovators, and changemakers! Palm Beach Area Mensa’s Gifted Youth Program offers Gifted Youth opportunities to step into leadership roles and make a meaningful impact - both locally and, where appropriate, in collaboration with Gifted Youth across the region.

As a Gifted Youth Representative, you’ll have the chance to lead exciting projects, help plan events, spark creativity, and inspire your peers—all while building leadership skills and having fun. Whether you’re organizing service projects, contributing to our newsletter, designing graphics, hosting virtual events, or running a book club, there’s a place for you to shine.

Opportunities may vary based on age, interests, and availability, but all roles are designed to support growth, collaboration, and meaningful participation.

Event Coordinator (Local)

• Plan and organize in-person events where youth members can earn service hours

• Contact local organizations to build partnerships and secure opportunities

• Share event details with the Gifted Youth team to ensure smooth execution

Virtual Events Planner (Local + Regional)

• Design and host virtual events to engage members who can’t attend in person

• Manage platforms, schedules, and activities to create memorable experiences

• Support opportunities for cross-group or regional participation when available

Youth Outreach Advocate (Local + Regional)

• Reach out to new or less active members to invite them to participate

• Help develop strategies to increase youth engagement and strengthen community connections

Communications Specialist (Local + Regional)

• Write articles, event recaps, or stories for newsletters and websites

• Create graphics and social media content to promote events

• Draft personalized email invitations (sent by the Gifted Youth team)

• Produce videos or multimedia content to highlight events or share sneak peeks

Book Club Leader (Virtual)

• Organize and lead a book club, selecting books that spark curiosity

• Facilitate fun and engaging discussions in a welcoming environment

• Promote meetings through newsletters, social media, and invitations

• Share book reviews or create promotional materials to encourage participation
