On Writing Beloved Characters and Powerful Portrayals of Resilience in Virtual Conversation with Jason Reynolds (Award-Winning & #1 New York Times Bestselling Author)

Thursday, April 30, 2026 | 7:00 PM EDT | Virtual (free registration) | Live Q&A

JOIN US FOR A COMMUNITY PICK! Join a live online conversation with Jason Reynolds about his brand-new book Coach — the fifth and final installment in his beloved Track series. His Track series is one of the most popular middle-grade series of the last decade.

Before Coach was the man who gave caring yet firm-handed guidance to Ghost, Lu, Patina, and Sunny on the Defenders track team, he was little Otie Brody — a kid obsessed with Carl Lewis and Back to the Future, whose world gets turned upside down when his brand-new Jordans, and his father, go missing.

Jason Reynolds is a Newbery Honor, Printz Honor, and Coretta Scott King Honor recipient, a National Book Award finalist, and was named the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature by the Library of Congress. His books include Ghost, Long Way Down, Look Both Ways, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man.

Registration is free — just a name and email.
