Ready to make a difference? Join us October 25th for our second beach cleanup with Sea Turtle Adventures! Together we’ll protect marine life, keep our beaches beautiful, and learn how to help our oceans every day.
You may have heard that we’re hosting another beach cleanup; in fact, this is our second time doing one with Sea Turtle Adventures! If you’re wondering why you should join us, here are a few reasons:
It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and lend nature a helping hand! By picking up trash, we not only keep the beaches looking pristine, but we also prevent animals from accidentally consuming things like bottle caps or becoming entangled in plastic waste.
Working as a team to clean up the beach creates lasting friendships and fosters a sense of community. As we come together toward a common goal, we not only connect with nature, but we connect with each other.
Educating ourselves about marine life is a great way to learn more about how nature truly is the backbone of our world. Through learning about nature, we can ensure that we know how to do our part to protect wildlife and make our world a more beautiful place.
Want to know how to help our oceans in your own day-to-day life?
Use your own grocery bags when you go to the store; tote bags are perfect for this!
Participate in beach cleanups; you can sign up to volunteer at different conservation centers, or you can join Mensa in a beach cleanup project (like our beach cleanup on October 25th!).
Support ocean-friendly businesses; there are a bunch of ocean-friendly restaurants and shops that prioritize sustainability
Observe wildlife from a distance; don’t get too close to the animals!
Learn about marine ecosystems; reading about the importance of marine life can help you gain and spread awareness.
And most importantly…
Take part in our beach cleanup!
